UCSF Mount Zion Lab MBCx Study

Lead energy consultant for the study to identify operational and commissioning based energy conservation measures in the 11,000 sqm Mount Zion Research Facility. The space primarily functions as a research laboratory but also includes support offices and a full vivarium. The recommended energy saving projects reduce energy consumption by 29%, provide and estimated incentive of $504,000 and deliver a payback of less than 1 year. The resulting annual energy savings were in excess of $350,000 annually.
